Landlord and Head Chef, Tim Collins, opened Seasons Restaurant in 2005 and brought the subtle flavours and textures of modern Italian food to this quiet village in North Somerset with his third project.

Tim’s career started some thirty-one years ago in one of the well-known Italian Restaurants in Bristol. He moved from the city back to the Somerset countryside working in award winning restaurants in the area, and later opened two restaurants with his wife Joi. The first of these popular restaurants was Duets in Weston super Mare, followed by The Almshouse in Axbridge, near Cheddar.

The modern Italian cuisine at Seasons Restaurant is far apart from the average pub food. Tim takes great pride in serving only freshly cooked food. He personally chooses all the seasonal ingredients which are, where ever possible, from local sources, with delights such as fresh asparagus from the foot of the Mendip Hills in the months of May and June, traditional char-grilled Somerset Pork flavoured with Cajun spices, and scallops with saffron cream sauce in the colder months.

Experience the distinctive cuisines from Italy and France perfectly blended into new Italian food at its best, prepared from the finest ingredients. Expertly served to the highest standard, even the humble pizza does not escape Tim’s fine attention to detail. Steaks also, are taken from butcher’s cuts then delicately trimmed to leave only the uncooked weight of meat for char-grilling to choice, and serving meltingly tender with mouthwatering home-made sauces.

The secrets of an expert saucier and chef have been brought to a village restaurant. Seasons Italian Restaurant readily produces a selection of the highest quality speciality and traditional dishes for lunch or dinner, or quick Italian Lunches for an opportune moment from the Menu Ràpido; and the service is matchless - and all at affordable prices.

Tim, his wife Joi, and son Luke, are to be credited for this remarkable achievement in a village pub atmosphere, providing an ideal venue for both formal and informal occasions.
